At the Spitfire Grill you dine in a spacious atmosphere that immerses you in the history for flight. The walls are covered with hundreds of pictures of actual airplanes and most menu items are named after great airplanes from history. You can also enjoy watching planes take off and land from the Pueblo Airport as the restaurant is located right next to the runway.
About the Spitfire Airplane
The first Spitfire Airplane that flew was in 1936, had an all metal skin. This design helped make the aircraft lighter. The Spitfire was armed with eight machine guns, mounted on the wings. It's top speed was about 320 - 460 miles per hour.
